Welcome to Bless the Horses 

Bless the Horses is a limited edition art deck. A lifetime passion project and also a way of expressing my gratitude to horses as a species. It has taken years to pull all the layers and details of this deck together with patience and the help of the earthy blessings of the horses themselves. 

The messages, art images and symbols are all intentional and designed to assist in connecting the reader to the essence of the spirit of the horse, opening avenues for interspecies communication and the capacity to listen and heal what is within our souls. Whether you are a seasoned horse person or simply have long admired horses from a distance, the messages in this deck are for all humans here, right now. 

About the messages 

Most of the messages in this deck were gathered during body/ energy work sessions with individual domesticated horses in barn, home, field settings who had lifelong connection to humans. A collection of their shared wisdom is the inspiration for this project.

We are bigger, faster and stronger. We have much to offer humans.

For us what is important is that the information received be put into action,

not left to stagnate and rot.

Keep knowledge in motion, fostering change.

About the deck 

The images were created and printed using the connection that horses have to the earth, seasons and elements. The 64-card deck is divided into six symboled suits. Each card is numbered within a symbol for the suit, which corresponds to the messages in the guidebook. Illuminating the nonverbal aspect of communicating with others, the deck is designed for readers to feel or intuit into the image before reading the messages, so there are no words on the cards.

The suits are; Winter - The Walk. Spring - The Canter. Summer - The Gallop. Fall - The Trot. Then the “Horse messenger” and the last (the only horizontally oriented suit in the deck) “The Spirit Horse Council.” 

There are many ways to work with this deck: 

Ask it a question. 

Work with the seasonal suit cards at that time of year. 

Sit with a horse and pull a card. 

Be creative and adventurous with the multiple card choices. 

However you choose to work with this deck, I pray it gives you the blessings horses have given me. 

Contents 

Bless the Horses - An Equine Wisdom Deck has 64 image cards with gold edges. It is accompanied by an 180 page detailed guidebook in a beautiful art box. The guidebook is an important part of this project, it overflows with instructions on how to use the deck, as well as poems, stories and dreams on making authentic connections with horses. 

The cards and guidebook both measure 2.75 x 4.75 inches. 

They both fit neatly into the art box which measures 6” x 4.25” x 2”
